Christmas Eve

Shelby's favorite part of Christmas Eve was playing with her cousin Kam and her Uncle Kyle. Shelby loves Uncle Kyle. They played hide and seek for at least 45mins and the two of them ran back and forth from the same two spots behind the couch and under the kitchen table waiting for Kyle to find them.

Tubing

Christmas Eve Morning we went tubing with Heath's Family. It was a great time. There was a lot of snow and although it was really cold when we first arrived the sun was out and later in the day it became the perfect day to go. Except Shelby did not like it too much. Maybe it was the cold, or maybe it was her clothes. She was like the child in the Christmas story all wrapped up and could not move on her own. She did however enjoy sitting in the car a drinking hot coco.

Christmas Cookies

We had a blast making cookies with Shelby! She did such a great job.... and she is growing up so fast! She is 18 months and already wants to do everything herself. We had to fill the jar of sprinkles back up after every cookie, I think she had more fun dumping and pouring the sprinkles out of the jar! Like her father she also loved eating the m&m's rather than use them to decorate. When all was done she even gave dad bites of her cookies... after she ate the m&m's of course.

Snow Angels

I do not remember making snow angels growing up... maybe sand angels???  But this is one of the reasons I love living in Colorado...The Snow! Besides snow days which are few and far between.... the snow is beautiful! I love waking up to snow covered rooftops and when the sun hits the snow and the whole world around you has a glitter glow to it... it is quite magical. I hope we have a white Christmas this year. It is even more magical to spend time in the snow with Shelby. Heath and I had a blast.... not sure if Shelby loved making the snow angels as much as Heath loved helping her. However she loved throwing snowballs at us.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving landed on Heath's Birthday this year. Our original plan was to be in California and go to Disneyland and hangout with family and friends and although we were able to hangout with family and friends it was here in Colorado instead. Our trip was cancelled after a series of unfortunate events, but we were so blessed to spend Thanksgiving with Heaths sister and her family...although we forgot to take pictures. Heath turned 34 this year! Happy Birthday Day Heath we love ya ;)

Although we missed Disneyland .... the creative thanksgiving stories we heard from our nieces and nephew made it all worth it!
