Steamboat

We were able to go to steamboat for the weekend for Heath's work. Although the ride up there was not pleasant due to lots of vomit from my darling daughter in the back seat. The view this time of year is beautiful... I think fall is turning into one of my favorite seasons. We went to the botanic gardens in steamboat and enjoyed a hike with beautiful views and just took our time driving back to enjoy the mountains we were lucky the dive back was not like the drive there ;)

So I am proud to say that we started a small garden at the beginning of the summer. Just pumpkins and cherry tomatoes but the best part is they actually grew!!! We have pumpkins for Halloween and Shelby loves going to the back yard to eat tomatoes. Now the pumpkins are not big but no complaints here I am just astonished that the things I planted grew.  However I am shamed to admit that when I discovered the big scary spider I left the picking of the tomatoes to Heath.

Cali / Disneyland

 At the end of the summer we took a well deserved trip back home to Cali. It was just what the doctor ordered. We went to disneyland and played at the beach everyday... we made this a vacation instead of going home to visit everyone.... so everyone we did not see we love ya and will see you at Thanksgiving. Shelby loved the beach and disnyland. It was alot of fun to be the parents and take your child places for the first time and see that she enjoys the same places you do...aka the beach and disneyland. We also took her swimmin ...which is sad that it was the first time we took her swimming at the end of the summer cause she loved it.

 

Time goes by fast....

The summer went by too quick... Sorry to all who check this life has been busy. With work, Heath in school and Shelby sick all the time I have not stayed on top of things. Work is still crazy and Shelby is getting better. She had surgery at the end of July and had tubes put in her ears. I must say they have worked we went from having a double ear infection every two weeks to ZERO.... however she now gets whatever virus goes around my work and then some but through it all her ears have been great. Now we just need to get everything else back in shape. But I am very blessed through it all she has the best attitude. Heath is almost finished with his Masters.... 10 more weeks to go! we are so excited to see what the future holds and where we might be next year.  I have been busy with work and Shelby all summer. On the days when she has been healthy I am trying to working on my photo skills....she makes it pretty easy.

Happy Birthday Shelby

We can not believe it has been a year. While Shelby was sleeping we decorated her door so she would wake up to a nice birthday surprise! It was a great day celebrating at school with her friends, A birthday dinner with the 3 of us followed by a nice birthday celebration at home with presents and banana cupcakes. However since it was just the three of us we did not get a picture of her blowing out her candles! Happy Birthday Shelby we Love ya 

Trip to the Valley

We went to the valley to visit Heaths family. It was alot of fun. We were able to hangout with our great Grandma Martin in the morning! She is an amazing women and we love spending time with her. We also went to visit our Great Grandpa Dave! We love his stories and can listen to him talk all day. Shelby loved all the dogs at the house... However she was not to sure about the chickens. We loved the trampoline at Grandma Kay's house it was alot of fun, so was spending time with Grandpa Dwight outside. We loved eating Grandma Kay's homemade applesauce and spending lots of time hanging out with her. We cant wait to go down for the Celebration and see what grandma's float looks like finished!
