Halloween

Shelby had a blast this Halloween.  She mostly loved holding and loving her twin cousin "Alice" and the "Queen of Hearts" aka Reese and Presley and the trunk or treat. She was not so excited about going up to strangers and saying "trick or treat" however when we got to the end and she realized her bucket was no longer empty and full of goodies she was one happy camper. We love that we live so close to our cousins. On Halloween she got more of a trick rather than a treat. :( We went to the doctors and instead of a treat she got blood work with a scary needle. She did get her treat when she was done though.

Carving Pumpkins

 

 

Shelby was not to sure about Pumpkin Carving.... she liked opening up to see what was inside, however she did not like touching the seeds inside and was a little apprehensive about the pumpkin with a face.

Estes Park

My parents came to town and we took them to Estes Park. We ate at the scary hotel from the Shining.... pretty spooky!!! Mostly we enjoyed the scenery. Heath however did not he threw out his back a couple days before and could not move after the drive up there. We enjoyed having them here with us!

Steamboat

We were able to go to steamboat for the weekend for Heath's work. Although the ride up there was not pleasant due to lots of vomit from my darling daughter in the back seat. The view this time of year is beautiful... I think fall is turning into one of my favorite seasons. We went to the botanic gardens in steamboat and enjoyed a hike with beautiful views and just took our time driving back to enjoy the mountains we were lucky the dive back was not like the drive there ;)

So I am proud to say that we started a small garden at the beginning of the summer. Just pumpkins and cherry tomatoes but the best part is they actually grew!!! We have pumpkins for Halloween and Shelby loves going to the back yard to eat tomatoes. Now the pumpkins are not big but no complaints here I am just astonished that the things I planted grew.  However I am shamed to admit that when I discovered the big scary spider I left the picking of the tomatoes to Heath.

Cali / Disneyland

 At the end of the summer we took a well deserved trip back home to Cali. It was just what the doctor ordered. We went to disneyland and played at the beach everyday... we made this a vacation instead of going home to visit everyone.... so everyone we did not see we love ya and will see you at Thanksgiving. Shelby loved the beach and disnyland. It was alot of fun to be the parents and take your child places for the first time and see that she enjoys the same places you do...aka the beach and disneyland. We also took her swimmin ...which is sad that it was the first time we took her swimming at the end of the summer cause she loved it.

 

Time goes by fast....

The summer went by too quick... Sorry to all who check this life has been busy. With work, Heath in school and Shelby sick all the time I have not stayed on top of things. Work is still crazy and Shelby is getting better. She had surgery at the end of July and had tubes put in her ears. I must say they have worked we went from having a double ear infection every two weeks to ZERO.... however she now gets whatever virus goes around my work and then some but through it all her ears have been great. Now we just need to get everything else back in shape. But I am very blessed through it all she has the best attitude. Heath is almost finished with his Masters.... 10 more weeks to go! we are so excited to see what the future holds and where we might be next year.  I have been busy with work and Shelby all summer. On the days when she has been healthy I am trying to working on my photo skills....she makes it pretty easy.
