I love my husband! He always seems to know when I need alittle friend time. He got me tickets to visit my good friend Tiffany. We had a great time! We went to Ikea and talked about owning our own business together. We ate good food, watched chick flicks (thanks Nate), reminisced of old times, and hung out with her wonderful children. It was a great time. I am so blessed to have such great friends and a wonderful husband. Wish tiff and and all my friends lived closer.

Broncos

We scored some tickets to the bronco game! It was the last preseason game so I would not really call it a game....but the broncos won and it was a good time. Great seats, good company and football what could be better. We are however, ready for preseason to be over!

Weekend with Aaron

My Cousin Aaron was at a conference in Vail this week and stayed with us a couple days. We went to the movies ate good food and had a great time in the mountains on some ATVs that we rented. Now of course Heath wants to to buy a dirt bike and an atv for me.

At the end of our day in the mountain we drove past this bear cub! We were all pretty excited to see him. Too bad I did not get a great picture.

We came home and Aaron cooked us a delicious risotto!


Then we went to eat dessert at this place called the D Bar! It was delicious

At sunset we like to look out our loft window and watch the sun go down. It's a great view of the front range

24 Celebration

So we did not make it to the Pioneer Day Celebrations this year in Heath's home town. However, Heaths mom makes floats for the parade and usually takes first place. She did again this year! So I thought I would show it off.

Our House

This summer we are also trying to work on our house in between the cabin and our daily lives. We added crown molding to our bedroom, it's still a work in progress. All I know is that I need to buy Heath some power tools... like a hammer,a saw and the whole shabang! We cut the crown molding with just a regular saw and it took us a couple of cuts to get the angles right...Heath was getting frustrated and all I could do was laugh. The guy at home depot told us to put it up then paint which we did. Next time I think I will paint first then hang. But it is up and painted white! I think we are going to paint our room a light grey with red accents...hopefully it will look great. I found the new bedding I want but it is expensive so it will have to wait.

Our Summer

Heath had another weekend at the cabin. Him and his brothers got alot accomplished but still have more trips before the summer is over. I was stuck at home and my sister in law called and said lets have a girl's night! We watched girlie movies, gave one another pedicures, had facials(we look pretty scarey) and ate lots of yummy foods. This has pretty much been our summer working, buliding the cabin and hangin out with family. Lots of fun but I'm missing the beach!

Rockies Game

One of the Martin crew came to stay with us for the weekend, we had a blast! From late night movies, thunderstorms, family BBQ, water fights and the Rockies game we had a fun exciting weekend.

I love baseball games. There is something special about stadium lights. I always think of the movie Field of Dreams...if you build it he will come!

July 4th

So for the 4th we were all going up to work on the cabin! But I got sick with strep so was home alone for the week. Pretty sure that is the longest time we have been apart since we have been married...YIKES! But Heath and his family had alot of fun and alot of hard labor (maybe I'm glad I was sick) and made alot of progress on the cabin. We are all excited for the day that its done.
